Raw Coconut Almond Butter Balls

These little treats are perfect for a mid-morning snack because the fiber from the oats help beat cravings in between meals. Also, these would be great to eat while you’re at work! They only take about 10-15 minutes to make, so you can easily make them if you’re in a time crunch. Almond butter is a great way to add protein to your diet if you are a vegan or vegetarian.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of thick rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup of coconut shreds
  • 1/4 cup of ground flax seed
  • 2 tablespoons of hemp seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • 1 cup of almond butter
  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Put all of the dry ingredients into a bowl (oats, coconut shreds, ground flax seed, hemp seeds and cinnamon)
  2. Mix the wet ingredients together in another bowl (almond butter and maple syrup)
  3. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until all of the dry ingredients are coated
  4. Form into 1 inch balls using your hands
  5. They can be eaten right away or tossed in the refrigerator
